DJ Soda Faces Catcalling Abroad After Hair Scandal: “You Guys Are Seriously Disgusting”

On July 3, DJ Soda took to social media to share her discomfort and anger after encountering catcalling while filming overseas. She uploaded a photo of a group of men and wrote, “I got catcalled by these guys several times while taking pictures.” She didn’t hold back her disgust, adding, “You guys are seriously disgusting.”
Catcalling, which includes whistles, unsolicited comments about appearance, or sexually suggestive remarks, is widely condemned as a form of street harassment. DJ Soda’s post once again sheds light on the persistent issue, especially when it happens even during work-related activities abroad.

This incident comes shortly after DJ Soda’s highly publicized hair bleaching accident, which left parts of her scalp and hairline severely damaged. She revealed she had been left with patchy bald spots after a stylist allegedly overprocessed her hair.
Despite receiving a diagnosis from a professional clinic at the stylist’s request, DJ Soda claimed that no action was taken for over three weeks, leaving fans shocked and sympathetic.
DJ Soda had traveled abroad for rest and recovery following the ordeal but unfortunately, her overseas escape has turned into yet another emotional and violating experience.
Fans have rallied around her, flooding her social media with messages of support and concern, as they condemn both the beauty mishap and the recent harassment. For many, it’s another reminder of the double burden female entertainers face, both in and outside their home country.
